A COMMERCIAL SHIFT!
Background
Berlin-based Shift! magazine is “an experimantal project that involves different people and deals with a different subject matter in each publication.” (from their web site).
In 2002, a special issue was published, filled completely with real (i.e. paid) and fictional advertisments. Shift magazine’s editior Anja Lutz approached me and illustrator Julia Guther for some contributions, and this is what we came up with.
All ads pictured below are pure fiction. The magazine was sold at a premium price of 19,99 € and is still available. Animated versions of the illustrations are featured in my showreel.
